How to Mine BSTY.

BSTY uses the Yescrypt proof-of-work algorithm. This guide walks you from wallet setup to a working miner, with current pool directories, miner downloads and copy/paste examples.

Pool availability changes. Verify that BSTY/Yescrypt is active on the pool before running your miner. Never mine directly to an exchange deposit address; use a wallet you control.
Step 01

Get a BSTY receiving address

Install the GlobalBoost wallet, let it synchronize, then create a receiving address. This address is where pool payouts will be sent.

Choose where to mine

For most miners, a pool is easier than solo mining because many CPUs combine work and payouts are distributed according to the pool's rules.

Step 03

Install a Yescrypt-capable miner

cpuminer-opt is a practical current choice for 64-bit Windows/Linux and explicitly supports the yescrypt algorithm used by GlobalBoost-Y (BSTY).

Create your mining command

Get the current stratum address and port directly from your chosen pool. Then replace the placeholders below.

Step 05

Start mining and confirm accepted shares

  1. Save the Windows file as start-bsty.bat, or make the Linux command executable/run it from the terminal.
  2. Start the miner.
  3. Confirm it reports yescrypt and connects to your chosen pool.
  4. Look for accepted shares. Repeated rejects usually mean a pool/port/configuration issue.
  5. Open the pool dashboard and search your payout address to confirm the worker appears.
Step 06

Set threads and control temperature

Start with fewer threads, verify temperatures, then increase gradually. Leaving one or two logical CPU threads free can keep the computer responsive.

Monitor temperature

Use your motherboard/CPU vendor utility or a trusted hardware monitor and watch package temperature during sustained mining.

Watch system load

Use htop, top and your platform's sensor tools to watch CPU utilization and thermals.

Mining on Windows and Linux

Pick your operating system for a full start-to-finish walkthrough.

    Download the miner

    Open the cpuminer-opt releases page and download the latest Windows zip (e.g. cpuminer-opt-x.x.x-windows.zip).

    Extract it

    Right-click the zip → Extract All, into a simple folder such as C:\bsty-miner. If Windows Defender or your antivirus quarantines it, add an exclusion for that folder (miners are often flagged as a false positive).

    Pick the right binary

    Inside the folder there are several builds. Use the newest one your CPU supports: cpuminer-avx2.exe for most modern Intel/AMD CPUs, cpuminer-avx512.exe or cpuminer-zen*.exe for newer chips, cpuminer-sse2.exe as a fallback.

    Create the start file

    Open Notepad, paste the command below, replace the pool address, port and your BSTY wallet address, then Save As start-bsty.bat (Save as type: All Files) in the miner folder.

    Run it

    Double-click start-bsty.bat. A console window opens; watch for “accepted” lines. Close the window or press Ctrl+C to stop.

    Optional: start with Windows

    Press Win+R, type shell:startup, and drop a shortcut to start-bsty.bat into that folder.

Troubleshooting

Common problems

Can't connect

Recheck the pool host, port, protocol, firewall and whether the pool still lists BSTY/Yescrypt.

Rejected shares

Verify -a yescrypt, worker syntax, pool difficulty requirements and that your system clock/network are stable.

Low hashrate

Try the CPU-specific cpuminer-opt binary that matches your processor, reduce background load, and compare thread counts.

No payout

Check the pool's minimum payout, payment schedule and the wallet address shown in your miner command.

Wallet → Pool → Miner → Yescrypt → Start.

Always confirm current pool details before connecting because mining endpoints, ports and payout rules can change.
