GlobalBoost

Longevity matters

Still running.
Since 2014.

Most coins launched in 2014 are gone: abandoned, delisted, forgotten. GlobalBoost kept mining blocks through every crash, every crypto winter and every hype cycle. Its age isn't a marketing claim. It's written into the chain, one timestamped block at a time.

What it survived.

Market crashes

The 2014 bear market, the 2018 crash and the 2022 collapse wiped out most coins from GlobalBoost's generation.

Hardware arms races

Yescrypt is memory-hard, so ordinary CPUs and GPUs can still mine it. The chain was never handed to a few ASIC farms.

Changing hands

Leaders, websites and exchanges come and go. The ledger doesn't care, because anyone can run a node.

Time itself

Every day since 2014 adds to a timestamped record that can't be faked or backdated.

The timeline.

  1. Jul 20, 2014

    Genesis block

The first GlobalBoost block is mined. A new Yescrypt proof-of-work chain begins, with no ICO and no premine.

  2. Sep 8, 2014

    Announced to the world

The project's announcement thread opens on the Bitcointalk forum, the traditional home of early altcoins. It has since been read more than 600,000 times.

  3. Oct 2014

    First trades

BSTY is first priced on the open market at about a third of a cent.

  4. 2014

    Era 1 ends

The launch reward of 347 BSTY per block ends at block 17,290, after about 6 million coins. The reward drops to 50 BSTY.

  5. 2017–2019

    The big cycle

BSTY rides the crypto boom, reaching its all-time high in February 2019.

  6. 2018–2020

    Crypto winter

Prices collapse across the market and thousands of coins vanish. The GlobalBoost chain keeps producing blocks.

  7. 2023

    GlobalBoost Media

The project refocuses on decentralized media and brings its code up to modern Bitcoin feature parity.

  8. 2024

    Halving at block 240,000

The block reward halves to 25 BSTY, following Bitcoin's playbook of shrinking issuance.

  9. 2025

    The Freedom Stack

Whitepaper v1.01 sets out FSNN, boostr.live and RUNES digital memorials, all built on BSTY.

  10. Today

    Still running

More than 600,000 blocks and over 24 million coins mined. The chain keeps going.

Halving by halving.

Like Bitcoin, BSTY's block reward halves on a fixed schedule, every 240,000 blocks, until issuance fades out around 2050. These figures come from the project's published coinomics.
