THE ECONOMICS OF BSTY

Open issuance.
Useful currency.

GlobalBoost has operated as a public, mineable blockchain since 2014. BSTY is its native coin: it moves value on-chain, pays transaction fees and rewards the miners who secure the network.

SUPPLY & ISSUANCE

A supply anyone can inspect.

New BSTY enters circulation as a reward for miners who produce valid blocks. The reward schedule is governed by the network’s consensus rules, rather than by discretionary issuance from a central operator. Transaction fees accompany rewards and pay miners to include transfers in blocks.

GlobalBoost describes its eventual supply as approximately 30 million BSTY. An older project Coinomics article lists 30.08 million while the newer site rounds the figure to 30 million. An exact protocol cap should be confirmed against the running chain and maintained source before it is presented as a precise number.

DISTRIBUTION

Earned through work.

01 / OPEN PARTICIPATION

Yescrypt mining

BSTY uses a memory-hard Proof-of-Work algorithm intended to make mining accessible across a wider range of hardware. Mining can still concentrate in practice; decentralization depends on continued participation from independent miners and pools.

02 / PREDICTABLE EMISSION

Protocol-defined rewards

Block rewards release new coins over time according to the rules followed by network nodes. Reward changes are part of the chain’s monetary design and can be independently checked in the source and block history.

03 / COMMUNITY ORIGINS

Fair-launch philosophy

The project describes its 2014 launch as mining-led, without an ICO, premine or insider allocation. This approach puts distribution through network participation at the center of BSTY’s history.

NETWORK UTILITY

One coin. A public network.

BSTY is used to transfer value directly between addresses. Fees help compensate miners for processing transactions and discourage low-cost spam. Wallets, explorers and open-source software let participants hold coins, inspect transfers and run their own infrastructure.

GlobalBoost also envisions BSTY as a payment currency for creator tools, publishing and communication services. Availability of any particular payment feature depends on the application implementing it.
